Dr. Rowena Arzt

As Head of Exhibitions Dr Rowena Arzt has been leading ZZF/WZF´s exhibition and trade fair programme since 2016. In this role, she is responsible for Interzoo, the world´s leading b-2-b fair for the pet industry. In 2019, she was appointed as CEO of International Pet Business IPB GmbH and in 2020, she created the online education platform Interzoo Academy. Supporting sustainable development in the pet industry, Rowena was awarded as Pet Personality of the Year 2022 by the international magazine Pet Worldwide.

Rowena started her career at the Institute of Trade Fair Management (University of Cologne) where she led teaching programmes, research and consulting projects. From 2006 to 2008, she worked as Corporate Development Manager at Koelnmesse.

In 2008 she changed jobs to UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, in Paris as Director of Business Development. Being a member of the senior management team, Rowena handled the association’s event and education programmes, the development of services for UFI‘s members and government liaison for more than 8 years before moving into the pet industry.

In her current position she can unite two of her great passions: pets and exhibitions.

Rowena Arzt has a master’s degree in business administration and a PhD specializing in international exhibition management from the University of Cologne. She is a frequent guest lecturer at different universities and speaker at several business events.
